Access & Editions

SemanticFed is delivered as a managed, multi-tenant SaaS. This page covers how to get access, environment selection, and the planned editions.

Get access

The fastest way to start is the managed cloud service:

  1. Sign in at app.semanticfed.com
  2. Pick or create a workspace
  3. Register a source, model a metric, and run a governed federated query — no infrastructure to operate

Environment selection

All SemanticFed clients and build tools target production by default. To switch to local or alpha, set the BURDENOFF_ENV environment variable:

BURDENOFF_ENVWorkspace gatewayGlobal gatewayWeb app
prod (default)https://graphqlworkspaces.burdenoff.com/workspaces/graphqlhttps://graphql.burdenoff.com/global/graphqlhttps://app.semanticfed.com
alphahttps://alphagraphqlworkspaces.burdenoff.com/workspaces/graphqlhttps://alphagraphql.burdenoff.com/global/graphqlhttps://alphaapp.semanticfed.com

See Environment Selection for per-client instructions.

Planned editions

SemanticFed will use transparent, tiered pricing with a freemium entry point and a clear path from a single team to enterprise. The platform underneath is the same on every plan.

PlanBest for
FreeIndividuals and small teams exploring federation — a handful of sources, a semantic model, and the catalog
StarterSmall data teams running their first federated models — higher limits, scheduled caching
ProfessionalScaling data teams — larger quotas, the full governance suite, the data catalog, priority support
EnterpriseLarge or regulated organizations — quotas sized to your usage, multi-tenant federation-as-a-service across your teams, advanced compliance, SSO, dedicated tenancy or self-host

The same on every plan: the federated query engine, the typed semantic layer, RBAC, audit, lineage, multi-tenancy, i18n, and accessibility.

Deployment options (roadmap)

A managed multi-tenant SaaS is the launch offering. Private-cloud and self-host deployment for regulated industries is on the roadmap.
